Let’s ditch the night life of night clubs and really enjoy life with an alluring, vibrant setting at Vaucluse. Dressing up for a date night always excites me, especially when travelling to another destination. I had a little crave for a French cuisine dinner but with a New York vibe. Walking into the beautifully contemporary design elements of Vaucluse in my sequins top with live jazz music in the background already had me in the for a little celebration. Every month on the 11th, Lucas and I would have celebrate for our monthly anniversary. Two of the dishes I would recommend are the Foie Gras Poêlé and Côtelettes d’Agneau. A funny story to share is, we ordered the Côtelettes d’Agneau ( which is lamb chop ) the waiter didn’t ask us how we wanted the lamb chop to be cooked and when it came to our table it look very raw. For a few seconds the couple beside was a bit shocked and wondered it we have ordered the wrong thing. Lucas and I asked for the waiter if it was properly cooked , we felt a bit embarrassed when he said they are expertly prepared meats with a special slow cook method. We took the courage to give it a try, unexpectedly the lamb chop was very tender and juicy at the same time. The couples beside us ordered the same thing after they saw our expression. To sum up our dinner, we shared a nice warm chocolate souffle with a refreshing lavender ice cream on the side. Just when you thought dessert was enough, I was a bit greedy to extend date night with a live jazz back at our hotel.

For Her:  Foie Gras Poêlé

For Him : Côtelettes d’Agneau.

For us: Soufflé Chaud Chocolat

Address: Vaucluse

We walked back to our hotel The Carlye A Rosewood Hotel to CAFÉ CARLYLE, where we enjoyed live jazz music over a glass of wine. This was a perfect date night for us right before fashion week begins. I highly recommend couples to just sit down, relax and enjoy the energy of live jazz.
