      We went to Montalcino for four nights for some wining and dining and stayed at Castello Banfi Il Borgo, a castle that sat amidst miles and miles of vineyards. The castle had a beautiful pool overlooking one of the many vineyards owned by Banfi as a backdrop for the daily sunsets I admired religiously. The wine of course was fantastic. We had a variety of red wine, and white wine and roses but most importantly, we got to try Brunello di Montalcino from different vintage, one of the most well known wines in Tuscany.   We stayed at Siena for a night at the luxurious Grand Hotel Continental, which was located at the heart of the historical centre on Via Banchi di Sopra and conveniently offered valet parking where no cars could barely drive, let alone park. The interiors reflected the rich history and tradition that define the city. Staying there made me feel like I was living in a grand palace. Within five minutes away was the Piazza del Campo that was surrounded by people and restaurants, the Palazzo Pubblico and the absolutely stunning Siena Cathedral.
