SAINT TROPEZ, SOUTH OF FRANCE

Of all the islands in the French Riviera, St. Tropez is probably the most popular place to visit in the south of France. Known as a hot spot for celebrities, the food, the vibe, and the parties are what draw people in and keep them coming back year after year. It’s exceptionally busy during the summer months, but the idyllic architecture and endless blue skies are worth the trip alone. The waterfront is a great place to have an afternoon stroll until you find a cafe to have a bite and a coffee with the daily paper. There are also plenty of shops to find handmade goods or pop into the fish market for fresh, local seafood. Or when...

JA MANAFARU

JA MANAFARU (link) I’m all about the villa life in the Maldives, so Jared and I were in for a treat when we stayed at Ja Manafaru. After a 75 minute seaplane ride from the airport to the island, we arrived to the island, which is the last resort before the end of the Maldivian waters. The island is kept as natural as possible – they don’t pump or redistribute sand, with no plans to expand the island. Friendly staff greeted us, and we were ready to explore the property. The entire island is engulfed by soft sand, and it takes about 20 mintues to walk around the entire island. Staff are relaxed and great with kids and have an in...

CDDXGOURAMI: SIVANANDA BAHAMAS WEEK FOUR

:: ALL OUTFITS GOURAMI:: All good things must come to an end. My final week at Paradise Island was something I will always remember because the entire program had put me into a mental state of bliss. Unplugged and uninterrupted, I got to connect with myself and the world, an experience that is usually lost when I’m back in the busy city of Hong Kong. After four weeks of practicing yoga, I also received my yoga teaching certification which was really exciting! I don’t plan to teach but it’s a great feeling to know how to push my practice further when I do it at home. It was also an amazing experience to be with myself for an en...

CDDXGOURAMI: SIVANANDA BAHAMAS WEEK THREE

::ALL OUTFITS GOURAMI :: As soon as week three came along, I knew the rest of the trip was going to fly by. Every now and then, when I had a moment to spare, I would remind myself to stop and appreciate this experience, and to really absorb all the bliss, and inner peace this special place had to offer. To be able to stop time, and take a moment for yourself, is such a valuable skill. Especially when you live in the center of the hustle, and bustle of Hong Kong. When you work in the digital, fashion industry, where everything is fast paced, and people have short attention span. The Satsangs: The Satsangs has to be one of my fav...

CDDXGOURAMI: SIVANANDA BAHAMAS WEEK TWO

::ALL OUTFITS GOURAMI :: Week one was all about adjusting to the new schedule, meeting the new people in the whole new surrounding. Learning the words to the daily chants, familiarizing myself to literally, everything. As soon as week two came around, I was cruising. I was not only going from place to place, attending all my classes, and lectures with ease, but I found myself doing everything with a big smile on my face. Catching yourself smiling for no apparent reason is the most blissful feeling. Like everything is going just right. At the ashram, there is no pressure, no judgement, no stress, all you need to focus on is your...
