Of all the islands in the French Riviera, St. Tropez is probably the most popular place to visit in the south of France. Known as a hot spot for celebrities, the food, the vibe, and the parties are what draw people in and keep them coming back year after year. It’s exceptionally busy during the summer months, but the idyllic architecture and endless blue skies are worth the trip alone.

The waterfront is a great place to have an afternoon stroll until you find a cafe to have a bite and a coffee with the daily paper. There are also plenty of shops to find handmade goods or pop into the fish market for fresh, local seafood. Or when in doubt, find a spot for people watching while you enjoy a glass or two of Provence’s rose wines.
