SAMUJANA VILLA 24  (link) (instagram)

When it comes to getting some R&R and taking a break from Hong Kong, one of my favorite places to visit is Thailand. The weather and the scenery is beautiful and the people are so friendly. I’m glad I’ve found a new favorite spot for a nice holiday. Samujana Villas is located in Koh Samui (20 minutes from baggage claim to your pool!) and the entire property is absolutely stunning. The wide open spaces and salty beach air are a welcoming escape from a bustling, cramped city. The property offers a wide range of villas ( 3-8 bedrooms) for rent at reasonable price points so it’s an accessible holiday destination. My only tip for vacationing here would be to book your flights early because there are only two direct flights from Hong Kong to Koh Samui International Airport and they fill quickly.

Service was like a dream here – breakfast was always accompanied by an amazing fruit platter (my favorite!) of tropical fruits and plenty of fresh juice. The villas were large and spacious with plenty of breathing room so you can hang out with all of your friends and family. If you want to do more than lounge in your room with a view, there are more than a few activities to choose from. On one of my days there, we chose to go on a catamaran island tour. Samujana owns these catamarans, so everything can be organized on site and they can take you to the neighboring islands to have lunch before going back ashore.  Most villas are also equipped with a gym and cinema and all rooms ensuite. They also all have great sound systems for those impromptu dance parties that come up every so often on vacation.

Villa 24 is the newest and biggest villa on the property with eight bedrooms in total. It’s a 1,808 sq. M area of vacation heaven – there’s a game room that’s great for entertaining and a jacuzzi and outdoor dining sala so you can all do your own thing but still be together. I loved the two designer kitchens also, which were perfect for morning breakfast gatherings with friends.

We had in villa dining during our stay but you can also cook for yourself if you wish. We tried an in villa cooking class as well and enjoyed local Thai food every day. On the last Sunday of every month, Samujana also hosts a barbecue open to all guests. I arrived Sunday morning so I got to join a delicious barbecue lunch prepared by the chefs from the Larder in Koh Samui.

It’s a breathtaking experience with the beautiful beach and roomy accommodation that really puts you at peace. I still daydream about the sunset views at the infinity pool. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family!

Tell ’em I sent you 😉
