We stayed at Siena for a night at the luxurious Grand Hotel Continental, which was located at the heart of the historical centre on Via Banchi di Sopra and conveniently offered valet parking where no cars could barely drive, let alone park. The interiors reflected the rich history and tradition that define the city. Staying there made me feel like I was living in a grand palace.

Within five minutes away was the Piazza del Campo that was surrounded by people and restaurants, the Palazzo Pubblico and the absolutely stunning Siena Cathedral. Aside from the main sights, we walked around the narrow city roads and into stores selling a variety of artisanal hams, breads, olive oil and more. Siena is a must visit for one night if you’re in Tuscany.
