I have this dream of having an idealistic lifestyle where I would spend 2 weekend breaks a month in Europe, go shopping in Paris, eat and drink in Florence, drink shots of vodka and play poker in Moscow, and perhaps get wasted in Ibiza.  My top bucket list is to visit Lapland, meet Santa Clause and his elves, and discuss social media…LOL.

A while ago I was invited to spend a weekend at Hotel Royal Evian along with European press and bloggers, courtesy of the hotel.  Built in 1909 for King Edward VII (our English king), this exclusive Edwardian hotel resort is located in Evian-les-Bains which lies on the south shore of Lake Geneva in south-eastern France, famous for its holiday resort and spa town alike.  The name is closely connected to spring water we drink everyday, and I had no idea until I was given a press pack!

This 5-star hotel has recently undergone a major renovation, they opened its doors to visitors this summer; they have kept the original traditional Belle Epoque style and whilst introducing to a contemporary feel, with bespoke furnitures and soft furnishings.  This effort has completed the grand scale renovation, I can honestly say, it was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

As soon as I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was mesmerised by its romantic 19th Century decors, from floor to ceiling, and all around me.  The mosaic flooring, a chandelier hanging above, the grand staircase leading to its resident rooms, and the stunning mural which I can’t help but gasp by its intricate detailing, velvet soft furnishing and the soft natural light enveloped the whole space.  I wanted to dress in head to toe in Oscar de la Renta, paired with an off-white satin gloves, like Audrey Hepburn in the film Sabrina, and dance the night away like a crazy lunatic.
