A guide to Central London’s Seven Dials

London is beautiful when the sun shines. One area that I particularly like strolling around is 7 dials in Covent Garden. It is a little tucked in the heart of Central London, be it just having a coffee at the famous Monmouth Coffee place, or enjoying a play at one of the many theatres, there is something for everyone. If you’re in the mood for a little pampering and looking for beauty products,  Caudalié is where you want to go. The French cosmetic brand that is known for utilising grapes from the vineyards in Bordeaux, Champagne and Burgundy for all the products. Founder Mathilde Thomas started the brand with her husband...

A journey back in time- Palazzo Magnoni Feroni, Florence, Italy

Last week I went on another solo journey to a few cities in the beautiful Italy.  I always wondered how its like to live in a palace, so for Florence, I picked Palazzo Magnoni Feroni.   Back in 1770, the Marquis Feroni purchased the palace, expanded it and decorated the ground floor and the first floor apartments. Later on it passed on to the Magnani family that distinguished itself among the high-society of 1800′ Florence, and was listed in the “Golden books of Florentine nobility” commissioned initially by Ferdinando I de’ Medici. A historical palace itself, one of the oldest buildings in the San Frediano neighbourh...

A journey back in time- Castello di Monterone, Perugia, Italy

It was my first time to visit Umbria, the middle part of Italy. My first stop was Perugia, a very old town and the capital of Umbria. I picked a few special places to stay this time. For Perugia, I picked a castle. Yes, a castle as a hotel. I stayed at Castello di Monterone , 15 mins by taxi from the Perugia train station, 20mins from Perugia airport. The castle is in the countryside, originally built as military headquarters along the important road connecting Perugia to Rome, now it is a place of peace and retreating. For me, it was pure peacefulness. Usually I stay in the city centre if I know I am only staying in the city ...

Travelogue- Fasano Boa Vista, Brazil

Two Saturdays ago, I was here…enjoying a very relaxing Saturday with 2 very sweet beautiful friends. Since it was bank holiday in Brazil everything was pretty much closed, so we decided to go to the country side for a little relaxing adventure. About 1.5 hrs drive from Sao Paulo, Fasano Boa Vista is located on Fazenda Boa Vista, a sprawling farm with nothing but just green and nature. It is a gated community, but the hotel is within the area. The design and architecture of the hotel is a blend of nature with greens, lots of high ceilings and wooden panel.   I could have stayed there for much much longer…Thank you Fasano, thank...

Travelogue- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

So I only had 1.5 days in Rio de Janeiro, but I fell in love with this place already. If Sao Paulo is reminiscent to Manhattan, Rio de Janeiro is to Miami/ Los Angeles. There is something about Rio that is very relaxed and chilled. Again it is not the safest place on earth, so we were not encouraged to take our phones and walk alone on the streets. But since we were staying at Hotel Fasano, literally one road from the famous Ipanema Beach (which is next to Copacabana beach), we had the best security and view of the beach. I’ll let you decide for yourself. A part of the Ipanema Beach. This is the view from my room balcony- the en...
