“I’m singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin’ …”
Remember the scene where Gene Kelly dance and sing in the movie Singing in the Rain (1952) ? You might have wondered how glorious it is to dance in the rain when you get absolutely soaked and need to get on with your day? Ok, it IS actually quite fun to play in the rain, but realistically speaking there aren’t many chances we can do that. Not only the Danes were happiest people in the world (Norwegians had overtaken now), the best Nordic cuisines, handful of michelin restaurants (NOMA and 108 anyone?) they also have lots of really cool designs, both in clothing and interior in particular. This unusual development in hostage situations has been referred to as the ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ ever since. The Nobis Hotel buildings are the site of a dramatic attempted bank heist and the origins of a psychological phenomenon dubbed ‘Stockholm Syndrome.’ and the bank vault is now part of ACNE st...

Stockholm has always been a place known for its cool design, the Scandi coolness is so captivating. When I visited Stockholm earlier, I stayed at one of the boutique hotels in the heart of the city, Miss Clara by Nobis.
Sveavägen, where the hotel is located, is Stockholm’s most cosmopolitan boulevard, cutting straight through the heart of the city from north to south. This part of Sveavägen, north of Kungsgatan avenue, is one of the most expansive focal points in the evolution of a new and more dynamically attractive Stockholm City district.
Part of Nobis Group, the 92-room hotel was originally an Ateneum girls’ school buildi...
