A journey back in time- Palazzo Magnoni Feroni, Florence, Italy

Last week I went on another solo journey to a few cities in the beautiful Italy.  I always wondered how its like to live in a palace, so for Florence, I picked Palazzo Magnoni Feroni.   Back in 1770, the Marquis Feroni purchased the palace, expanded it and decorated the ground floor and the first floor apartments. Travelogue- Copenhagen, Denmark- D’Angleterre Hotel

I love everything with a story, some history and a heritage. It’s my third time visiting Copenhagen, Denmark last month. During my first visit 8 years ago, I remember walking pass this beautiful grand hotel with the fairy-tale like light curtains facade, I could not forget how beautiful and mesmerizing it was. This time I’ve decided to stay at the gorgeous D’Angleterre Hotel.  Situated at Kongens Nytrov (King’s New square) right across the Nyhan area, the hotel has one of the best location in Copenhagen. It is within walking distance to the main shopping street Strøget and the buzzing Nyhan for nightlife. Only about 20mins ...

Travelogue- Bern, Switzerland- Hotel Bellevue Palace Bern

Every city has its own story to tell, so as every hotel. Visiting Switzerland without visiting the capital city Bern isn’t complete. So I decided to hop on a train from Zurich (now I call it my third home), and walk around the historical city. Chosen by the Switzerland’s federal parliament as the capital city in 1848, Bern is actually a very small city, the old town is classified as a UNESCO World Cultural heritage site. Staying at the most luxurious hotel in Bern, Hotel Bellevue Palace is every bit a palace. Situated on top a little hill next to the river Aare, the location and the view is impeccable- you basically see the ent...

Something you need to know about Regent Street London..

How many times you’ve walked along Regent Street in London, and just thought ‘oh it’s one of the main roads in London, and if you go straight you’ll hit Oxford Circus and that’s where Nike Town and Topshop are.’   I thought to myself quite a lot. But there are always things I’m amazed by the street.   I’m always mesmerized by how grand and beautiful the architecture sits on the street. the neat and tidy curve, the uniform height, the structure.. especially in the night time, sometimes I just stand there and look up and imagine what it’s like in the pre-modernisation old days.. I wasnt able to figure out which building...
