Earlier last week, The Business of Fashion (BoF) celebrated the forthcoming launch of the second annual #BoF500, a multi-channel initiative exploring the 500 people shaping the global fashion industry, curated by the editors of BoF and powered by social media. Hosted by Imran Amed, BoF’s founder and editor-in-chief, at Bernes Tavern in the London EDITION hotel, VIP  dinner guests included Alexa Chung, Henry Holland, Christopher Kane, Charlotte Dellal, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, Nicholas Kirkwood, Mary Katrantzou, Alice Temperley, Caroline Rush, J W Anderson and a mix of influencers in music, fashion, technology, art and design including Natalie Massenet, Charlotte Tilbury, Hussein Chalayan, Peter Pilotto, Stephen Jones, Suzy Menkes, Federico Marchetti, Nadja Swarovski, Charlotte Tilbury, Ellen von Unwerth, Derek Blasberg, Richard Niccoll, Stephen Jones, Roksanda Ilincic and Angelica Cheung. The world’s top editors, designers, influential people of the fashion industry were all present in the same room, can you imagine the power that filled the air that night. Now talk about star-studded..I wonder what did they talk about…

The second annual #BoF500 will be unveiled on 22 September 2014 online at www.businessoffashion.com/bof500 and in a special print edition entitled ‘Polymaths & Multitaskers’ with in-depth features on several multi-talented, multi-faceted members of the BoF 500 community, including superstar designer Karl Lagerfeld, esteemed fashion writer Tim Blanks, star lensman Mario Testino, multi-tasking business brain Caroline Issa, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari of the innovative agency Toiletpaper and Nike chief executive Mark Parker. It also contains a handy reference guide to the complete BoF 500 – 2014.
